HOUSEKEEPING ROOM INSPECTORSummarySupervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms in the hotel. Assign duties and inspect work.
Essential Functions
Assist the Housekeeping Manager in maintaining room quality based on hotel objectives.
Monitor and maintain the level of cleanliness in rooms, storage area, laundry, restrooms, and public areas.
Apply the company handbook and employment and labor laws in a fair and equitable manner.
Make beds, replenish linens, clean rooms, bathroom, and halls, and vacuuming.
Unload/load housekeeping cart with supplies.
Replace cleaning supplies.
Report all problems and any maintenance repairs as needed.
Attend mandatory meetings.
Report any unsafe conditions immediately.
Keep the work area neat and organized.
Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor, to include cross training.
Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
Treating others with respect and behaving in a manner that is positive, productive and encourages teamwork at all times is an essential function of this job.
Physical Description
Lift and carry average weight of 20lbs frequently, maximum weight frequently 50lbs.
Standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet.
Reaching/overhead extension to pull items down. Pushing and pulling average weight frequently 50lbs, maximum weight 150lbs.
Repetitive motions of bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working with and exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise.
Must adhere to the Hotel’s safety standards and procedures; hearing, eye, hand protection for equipment operation.

Ability to communicate with guests as well as team members.
Ability to adjust schedule changes and cover shifts on short notice.
Able to work a variety of hours/shifts.

Follow all safety procedures. Meets or exceeds productivity standards set by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum six months’ previous housekeeping experience.
Must pass criminal background check.
