What Are Employer-Sponsored Primary Care Practices?

Our network of workplace primary care practices provides wellness and sick care to your employees at convenient, dedicated locations at or near your business. These services are part of the larger employee health program Penn Medicine HealthWorks. HealthWorks is customizable, allowing you to offer your employees a wide range of health care benefits and options. We work with you to tailor your HealthWorks package to your business’s and employees’ needs.

• Our primary care model: Advanced practice providers, physicians, medical assistants, and licensed vocational nurses lead our primary care practices. We offer same-day, next-day, and virtual appointments that start on time with no wait. Depending on your availability, wellness visits last 30 to 90 minutes, with sick visits scheduled for more efficient timeframes. Regardless of the reason for the visit, employees get as much time as they need with their provider to discuss their questions, concerns, and needs in depth. The same employees who staff our practices are available via our texting app for communication about medical needs, appointment scheduling, or follow-up questions. If needed, we offer on-site testing, blood draws, and medications, and employees receive a clear treatment plan to start immediately.

Our practices provide multiple blood tests and prescription medications on-site. • Relationship-based care: Every time employees reach out to our practices, they speak with our staff and providers—they are never directed to call centers. Employees also can get quick answers to questions outside of their appointments by talking to those same staff members via our texting app.

Our Primary Care Services

Our employer-sponsored primary care practices provide a range of services, including:

• Minor procedures, such as wart or skin tag removal, mole removal, small biopsies, or stitches
• Rapid testing, including lipid panels, blood sugar tests, hemoglobin A1C, strep or flu tests, urinary tract infections, or COVID, with quick results
