AKRON Math prof accused of stalking 2 women The University of Akron staffer of their life by going bothered them for eight months after they turned him down for dates, the victims said. AKRON (AP) A University of Akron assistant math professor stalked two women smearing blood on their door, going through their trash and billing sex tapes to their credit cards after they turned him down for dates, police said. Mark Goddard, 35, told police he was infatuated with the women, Detective Michael Brown said. One of the victims said Goddard signed their names on letters to their friends and doctors. "He sent a letter to my doctor under 1 my name saying I was shrinking and was there anything that could be done about it," she told the Akron Beacon Journal.

Goddard, who joined the faculty of the University of Akron in 1990, pleaded innocent Thursday to two counts of menacing by stalking, two counts of forgery and one count of aggravated burglary. Police say the forgery charges are related to purchases Goddard billed to the women's credit cards. They said he billed sex tapes, "love stimulant pills" and gasoline. They charged Goddard with burglary because he allegedly stole a photo from the victims' apartment. Goddard also mailed the women sexual messages in more than 12 greeting cards, police said.

In all, the victims, ages 26 and 28, detailed 27 incidents that occurred during an eight-month period beginning in February, Brown said. Assistant City Prosecutor Chuck Quinn said authorities would not release the names of the women because of the nature of the crime. The victims told police that Goddard, who lived nearby in a condominium complex, learned their doctors' names and other details CLEVELAND Mayor lauds He says Tuesday's victory shows growing public confidence in efforts to reform the debt-ridden system.
