10. Beth goes 'hunting'

Season 1 | Episode 1

This is the first time we learn just how iconically savage Beth is.

Let's set the scene: 'Tennessee Whisky' is playing in the background, Beth's sipping a whisky on the rocks like an absolute boss and a man from out of town thinks he has her all figured out.

"You don't live here anymore, not dressed like that. You came back... I'm gonna say a school reunion, class of 2006," he says ever so smugly. "Am I close?"

And boy, was he wrong.

"Do you feel close, Ted? My turn..." Beth replies.

10. Beth goes 'hunting'

"You're in real estate or something equally as unimportant. Married, couple of kids, one on the way. That was your excuse to come out here," Beth begins.

"You need a break. Work-family life is so demanding. A little fresh air, a little me time.

"You came alone because none of your friends could afford it and those who do, they have wives and are a lot smarter than you and let's be honest, Ted, you didn't come here to fish, you're hunting.

"That's why you're sitting in bar instead of standing in a river," says Beth as she takes a sip.

"I'm hunting too, just not hunting you... You look like a real soft f--k, Ted," she glares.

"All you city boys do."

"You reek of desperation and they can smell it," she scolds as she leans in closer.

"They will pull you, they will twist you and they will tear you into tiny pieces and our father with you."

Summer's sorry, thinking John is married.

1. Beth gets revenge for Monica

Season 2 | Episode 9

In a list of Beth's best (and sometimes questionable) moments, this scene shows just how much power she truly has.

Monica's been humiliated. She's at a fancy boutique, been accused of shoplifting and with any dignity left, had to strip down in a police search.

"I need help," Monica calls Beth.

Beth comes to the rescue - in a faux fur leopard coat no less.

"Where is she? My sister-in-law," Beth demands.

The store manager's face drops.

"I'm no lawyer, but I believe it's the 4th Amendment that deals with unlawful search and seizure," Beth begins.

1. Beth gets revenge for Monica

Beth points a finger at the police. "I went to high school with you... and you, babysat her husband."

"On her driver's license her last name is Long," one officer tried to defend himself.

"I doubt that's gonna save you, buddy," Beth replies.

The police leave, Beth rolls up her sleeves and locks the store door.

"Don't go, you'll miss all the fun. We're here. We might as well shop," Beth smirks before smashing the glass display counter.

She knows exactly who the store manager is and obliterates her.

"Spanx? What a shocker," Beth snarls.

Monica steps in and the store manager apologises for judging Monica by her skin, before Beth dishes out one more threat and they leave.
