Absolution is a skill that damages enemies in an area, applying a debuff for a short duration. If a non-unique enemy dies while affected by the debuff, the enemy's corpse will be consumed to summon a friendly Sentinel of Absolution minion for a longer secondary duration, or to refresh the duration and life of an existing one instead if you have the maximum number of them.

Skill functions and interactions

• Despite what the gem says, the skill does not consume corpses when refreshing sentinels as of the launch of 3.19.

• Support gems: Any support gem that can apply to both a spell as well as to a minion skill will apply to both the spell cast by the player's skill and the Sentinels' relevant spells. For example, Spell Echo SupportSpell Echo SupportSpell, Support

Sentinel of Absolution

• Stats: Like most minions, Sentinels' life and base damage scale heavily with the gem level of Absolution. Sentinels have 40% Elemental Resistances and 20% Chaos Resistance by default. Sentinels have a base cast time of 1.33 and 6% base Critical Strike Chance. The minion's regular AbsolutionMinion spell has 180% Effectiveness of Added Damage, and its empowered version, AbsolutionMinionEmpowered, has a value of 130%.

• Skills: A Sentinel of Absolution, according to the datamined material, is a reskinned Temple Adjudicator (which itself has another variant Heretical Adjudicator). It has a melee attack, which cannot normally be used, and two skills that are known for their internal IDs as AbsolutionMinion, and AbsolutionMinionEmpowered.^[1]
